Almagro se reunió con Smolansky y recibió informes sobre la migración venezolana

El secretario general de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), Luis Almagro, indicó este martes que recibió de manos del dirigente opositor David Smolansky un informe actualizado sobre la crisis migratoria de Venezuela.

Smolansky, quien es comisionado de la OEA para la crisis de refugiados venezolanos, le entregó a Almagro el documento en el que muestra la realidad que deben atravesar los migrantes al salir de su país.

Almagro, en su cuenta de Twitter (@Almagro_OEA2015), añadió que también recibió un informe sobre lo que costaría vacunar a los migrantes venezolanos en las Américas.

Venezuela atraviesa una emergencia humanitaria compleja, desde hace varios años, que ha derivado en una migración sin precedentes en la historia de la región.

Cifras de la OEA refieren que más de 5,5 millones de venezolanos han abandonado su país, buscando mejores condiciones de vida. La gran mayoría de los migrantes se han establecido en Colombia, Brasil, Perú, Ecuador y Chile.
